[Verse 1] When you called I was falling through autumn With part of me gone ’til the Spring But oh—girl, did you save me? I was bawling and all of my tears turned to rain Whether I’m sane doesn’t matter Cause how does that change things? [Break 1] When I lose all my pride, I'll smile When I've done all I tried, I'll go When I lose all my pride, I'll smile When I've done all I tried, I'll go [Verse 2] Drowning, left just to suffer Hope we recover and set the pace Bound to a trench meant for lovers But somehow got smothered along the way I know no one’s searching, why?—beats me But I’m too stubborn to let you fade So I will dive, 'til I can’t breathe Just to find you, find you, find you, find you [Break 2] Get—get, get down now Get, get—get, get down [Outro] (Dive, drop, work, go—) Going under, going under (Go—dive, drop, work, go—) Going under, going under (Go—dive, drop, work, go—) Going under, going under (Go—dive, drop, work, go—) Going under, going under

[Intro] I’m not one for diamonds But diamonds is all I— Diamonds is all I— [Verse 1] You are so awful You stole my breath away You took my sorrows Sold them for better things Cause you—knew I like the sunshine Nifty yachts, pretty women I’m too awkward sometimes I cannot handle the way That they say that this world should work I’d rather stay back at home Where I’m safe ’til the worst occurs [Pre-Hook] But if you'd like the glory, I’m sorry I led you on to think that money was all I wanted I'm not that heartless and guarded When I spend my time with you But you know they flock and they linger When rocks weigh your fingers And nobody else can reduce All of the shine that you make They'll take it away, But why have it if I can't have you [Hook] Cause I'm not one for diamonds But diamonds all I got If you ever see me without one Know my times run out So everyday I play the fool of glamor and fame Head to toe in luxury Cause diamonds all I got Cause diamonds is all I— Cause diamonds is all I— [Verse 2] Had, ’til I came up and came past you Damn, I can't hold none of this past you Need more of us girl it's past due I called you up just to ask you If you'd like the sunshine On your neck, in your element—sometime I'd like to prove that our problems dissolve Over warm dessert I'd like a room where our followers aren't To show your worth [Pre-Hook] But if you'd like the glory, I’m sorry I led you on to think that money was all I wanted I'm not that heartless and guarded When I spend my time with you But you know they flock and they linger When rocks weigh your fingers And nobody else can reduce All of the shine that you make They'll take it away, But why have it if I can't have you [Hook] Cause I'm not one for diamonds But diamonds all I got If you ever see me without one Know my times run out So everyday I play the fool of glamor and fame Head to toe in luxury Cause diamonds all I got Cause diamonds is all I— Cause diamonds is all I—

Paper Girl 05:20
[Hook] For what it's worth I think you've heard of me I think you know, I think you've grown I'd put you on I think you burglaring But I think you gold For what it's worth For what it's worth I think you've heard of me I think you know, I think you've grown I'd put you on I think you burglaring But I think you gold For what it's worth [Verse 1] Thought I was one of them niggas I figured you'd admire It’s autumn I’m falling for you Harder than Zeus and Titans Harder than Spain had did the Mayans Flew you to Zion—guess that wasn’t enough Where did I drop the ball? I’m sure I’ve probably called you whether or not I’m overseas or in Montreal with all of my dawgs But cannot recall whenever we talked So what is the cause? Gave you my card, said buy you a dress But you took it wrong, bought all of the mall You blame me for us not having enough—I believe you But you don’t ever see this paper girl—the way I see it You gotta be a monster Just to be sponsored by these cretins And you’re in love with demons And I just ain't want you leaving So I just went from— [Pre-Hook] 3rd Kyu, to 3rd Saiyan Stacking payments from the third floor to the earth Chasing every brink of insanity Trucking through all this vanity Just to get your attention Not to mention, I hate actors and fake rappers They got it easy They get to be someone else for a week Then paid weekly You see them on the TV all the time But all I see is them stealing your heart And making us grow apart You don’t wanna be mine Mostly since you don’t ever hear my name Or ever see my face in places you frequently visit Say Mrs. Payday have you ever been paid Or paid digits longer than your green extensions? I haven’t, but for you I’d take the world at large Just to hear you scream my name And see you flaunt my every cause cause— [Hook] For what it's worth I think you've heard of me I think you know, I think you've grown I'd put you on I think you burglaring But I think you gold For what it's worth For what it's worth I think you've heard of me I think you know, I think you've grown I'd put you on I think you burglaring But I think you gold For what it's worth [Post-Hook] Paper girl I know that I could be Much worse to you But paper girl I told you I would change the world for you [Verse 2] That’s why I’m out here fucking— Annihilating leviathans in verse Ain't I heinous? I'm gyrating niggas out here or in hiatus In higher places finding cadence in verbs And I make it for her and I say I rehearse But, really I'm nothing but criminal I ain't happy, I'm mostly an immigrant to these girls Who ain't invite my appearances Need a rev in insurance of residual love My current state ain’t endurable Panic when I'm at urinals Laugh when I'm at funerals Neither one of those curable Probably both are related And probably everyone hates it Probably everyone hates it Probably you know everybody Who probably hates it And probably you hate me Probably you hate me But I ended up taking Everyone’s basic needs And sending them straight to me So I can shop them to you In exchange of you loving me But you wasn’t loving me ’Til I had copped diamond rings For all of my family And showed up on magazine covers As a common thief I’m mean mugging three dozens Of Brahmin briefcases at my feet When I’m coming home—I’m honored, really But this shit isn't nothing like me And I’m out of theories You built a beast at Build-A-Bear With not a care in the world Of what cost it be Even if that cost was me And all of this shit that I’m becoming We’re slaves this paper girl—it’s disgusting Not sure at what point anymore I’ll be something Cause I just went from— [Pre-Hook] 3rd Kyu, to 3rd Saiyan—I’m just saying Stacking payments from the third floor to the earth Chasing every brink of insanity Trucking through all this vanity Just to get your attention Not to mention, I hate actors and fake rappers They got it easy They get to be someone else for a week Then paid weekly You see them on TV all the time But all I see is them stealing your heart And making us grow apart You don’t wanna be mine Mostly since you don’t ever hear my name Or ever see my face in places you frequently visit Say Mrs. Payday have you ever been paid Or paid digits longer than your green extensions? I haven’t, but for you I’d take the world at large Just to hear you scream my name And see you flaunt my every cause cause— [Hook] For what it's worth I think you've heard of me I think you know, I think you've grown I'd put you on I think you burglaring But I think you gold For what it's worth For what it's worth I think you've heard of me I think you know, I think you've grown I'd put you on I think you burglaring I think you gold For what it's worth [Post-Hook] Paper girl I know that I could be Much worse to you But paper girl I told you I would change the world for you For what it’s worth… [Outro] "That’s why I’m out here fucking—"

about

~ Sophomore year, NYU Tisch’s Clive Davis Institute, 2017. I created the concept of Stories of the Lost, Rich & Tormented as a "Writing the Hit Song: Deep Cutz" homework assignment. Over the course of 14 weeks, I crafted and reworked about 12 or so ideas. Suddenly, my songwriting professor at the time (Eren Cannata of Cove City Sound Studios, Facethouse Records & Warner Chapel Music), directed us to use all the content we created thus far to formulate an EP. This project would then become one we’d pitch and present to potential A&R scouts. It was our final project. I curated 5 of my best records across the class to showcase a conceptual narrative and description of greed, lust, and youth insecurity within American culture. It is the final entry within my four-EP-long music chronicle (dating back to my 2015 EP, This Is for You.). To let this project go free finally—feels like a blessing. Thank you.
